Buy apps with Google Checkout
There are different scenarios for paid applications. Some have a trial version, in which case, the button appears on the free Try detail page. Click it. If later you want to upgrade to the paid version more complete, will have to click the Buy button upgrade.
If there is no trial version is a Buy Now button that appears. Click it. Payment is made via Checkout, the online payment system Google: if you do not have a Checkout account associated with that of Google, you're asked to create one by giving the card number valid payment.
Note that Google Checkout provides a cancellation period of 30 minutes after buying an application.
To qualify, click the gear (right to your e-mail address) in the Chrome Web Store and choose my applications. Click Cancel next to the application.
Finally, other applications are free in the store but once you are logged in, you offer the paid download a fuller version - including working offline. This is the case, for example, the chess SparkChess, the Lite version which is freely available but the application complete for Chrome cost the modest sum of about seven euros, adjustable by Paypal.
Change the theme
You want to dress up your browser for the winter? In the Store, click Themes and navigate in the two categories proposed (creations of artists and Google). Click on a topic that suits you, then click Select theme and confirm by clicking Install. CRX file extension is automatically downloaded and used as the theme for your browser.
If, finally, you do not want this theme, click the key to Chrome (top right, next to the star which appears to Favorites), and select Options. Click Privacy and then click Reset to default theme. Note: if you click Get More Themes, you re-open the Themes category of the Chrome Web Store.
Add extensions
Unlike applications, extensions add functionality to the interface even Chrome, which can be exploited in all situations. Google gives the example Select To Get Maps, which lets you locate any address found on a web page or RSS Feed extension that adds a button in the menu bar of Chrome to tell you whether the page you visit has an RSS feed, and if it does, to subscribe with one click. But we could also discuss the extension Awesome Screenshot for fixing the annotation and screenshots, Notifications and Google + Facebook or extremely simple but very useful Turn Off the Lights, which darkens the current page to better highlight the video it supports. Several thousand are available as well.
To use one, simply select it and click Add to Google Chrome, and then click Install: availability is immediate. A multiply extensions, we may end up overwhelmed by the buttons. In Chrome Options, click Extensions to enable or disable each of them, or to remove them altogether.
Synchronize your settings and applications
This step is not unique to the Web Store but it can take advantage of your applications, extensions and themes Chrome on any job - and your favorites and, more generally, of your usual browser settings.
This is to synchronize with your Google Chrome browser: Click the wrench and select Options and Privacy. Then click Set Up Sync. Google Enter your credentials and click Login, then click Advanced Settings. Choose what to synchronize: if you are on a shared position with other users, clear the passwords. Finally, click OK. Repeat on all your computers and netbooks.
